Hi everybody, I’ve greatly benefited from you guys whether from direct advice or from reading through previous threads. I’ve come upon a problem that I haven’t found posted before. I’ve lost compression on cylinder #5 to about 20 psi. Prior it was about 110 psi and all other cylinders were about 150psi. Squirting oil in through the spark plug hole didn’t help, so I’m thinking it’s a valve problem. I tried adjusting the valve on cylinder # 5 just to be sure it’s not a valve adjustment issue. But when I tried adjusting there is no clearance even when I tried unscrewing to the very end the valve is still pushing up with no way for the feeler to check. It’s been like this since I first got the truck and tried adjusting the valves about 2 years ago. I’m planning on pulling the head now but what should I expect or look for other than the obvious seating of the valve or valve damage? This is currently my DD hence asking to keep downtime as short as possible. Thanks
