My old worn motor (340,000 mi) is smoking more...both at startup and driving. Its also lacking power, well it has plenty of power here in PA but when I left the mountains of CO it did not have the same power as it did when it was younger (300,000 mi)
I have been using Lucas Oil Additive in Rotella 15w40 but its not working enough to cut the smoking. There is no plan to rebuild, fix or replace motor, when it dies so does the rest of the 80.
Is there any other oil or additive I can try?

90 wt.

Engine Restore, stuff in the silver beer can, holy mother the stuff works so good.

Would a high mileage oil like Valvoline High Mileage oil work any better or should I stay with Rotella T 5w40?

A higher viscosity oil might help; it probably doesn't matter whether it's "high mileage" or not for a blow-by condition.

To echo previous posters - Click & Clack, the Tappet brothers recommended Restore to a caller with compression problems. It's packaged in a tall silver cylindrical can.

x2 on the engine restore worked great for me!

Get a can of engine flush, and a quart of AT fluid. Add it to your oil. Beat the piss out of the truck, change with a heavier weight oil. You´ll be surprised.
