Ok Pro's,
My 1991 FJ80 has no heat. I have replaced the thermostat, the heater water control valve. I put a garden hose in ever heater hose and flushed the entire system all kinds of ways. With the supply side of the water valve unhooked and the radiator cap open and blowing into the radiator the water flows very easily out the unhooked hose. Garden hose into the water valve at the unhooked connection, water comes out the radiator cap opening, same when the hose is to the heater hose that is unhooked at the water valve. While replacing the thermostat to check all hoses for clogs, the only thing I found was some gunk from the fuel injection water heater pipes. No other bloakages. Another symptom is while the engine is running I unhooked the water valve supply line again to see if the system was air locked, and no water flow, a littel trickle now and then. Then I opened the radiator cap and water flowed out of the heater valve supply very forcefull. Put on the cap-no flow, open the cap-good flow. The vehicle is not overheating in the slightest. But still no heat.
I have not checked the water pump (off the engine). I have not drained the block from the plug, (just read the post today talking about it).
Any suggestions, anyone else had this problem?????
Thanks for the help.
Cris
