No Hazard lights

I haven't had hazard lights (four way flasher) since I owned it
Tonight while the dash was open, I replaced the flasher relay, and hazard button. Still nothing? any ideas? when I press the hazard button the turn signal lights stop working but that’s it, no hazards. I checked the HAZ/Horn fuse also. I figure I have a wire messed up somewhere, but I am at the end of my electrical skills.

Do your blinkers work?? Possibly the PO swapped the hazard switch and hooked it up to for CDL switch??

Did you check voltage at the HAZ-HORN fuse?

Using the '96 EWD as a reference, battery voltage from that fuse needs to be at pin-8 of the hazard switch connector.

I hope the wiring and connectors are similar for your year/model.

I have the exact same problem. My truck is a 1990 HDJ 81. Ever since I bought the truck the hazard lights have never worked. I have voltage at the bottom. The fuse is good. When I press the button the signal lights will not work. when the hazard button is pressed the hazard lights will not come on.
Were you able to find out what was wrong?

Today I put in a new hazard light switch and that did not fix the problem. Anyone have any other suggestions for me?
