I'm in the no PRND club! (Nothing in that row works) 257K mi.

Check your backup lights. If they aren't working then the NSS round connector below the PHH has wires that are corroded and shorted out. That is what I found on my 94.

Our 92 and 94 now have the D lights working after replacing them. The 99 LX470 is now the only member of the no "D" club in our house.

i can't read through all this, but when i bought my t100 i was in this "no d" club..until i readjusted the shift linkage cable, and it's back. my 96 fj w/164k mi sometimes doesn't register a d light, but when i fxxx with the shifter, i can always get it to work......i'll give this an aside by mentioning that when my pop had an fj100 the bulb failed <100k mi....
as confusing as that is, i guess what i'm trying to say is that the bulb may not have failed, but the linkage may be outta whack, at which point it doesn't make proper connections to turn the bulb on.\

I thought it didn't work on purpose due to a bright light starring back at you lol....220K...not worried about it but will try the thwack just to see!

I have had my 80 since it had 22K on it. I am now at 260K+ and my D light has been gone so long I cannot remember when it worked.

210k and still working D....But no "N" light

Lost the "D" around 115K - and I like it - left it that way the last 8~10 yrs

I like it because you know you are in drive at night & it's one less bulb that is extraneous to me.

If it's daylight my cluster lights aren't on anyhow.

Both my 80's are no D. Like others I thought this was a feature!

Question is smack or not to smack?

I suppose I'll wait for a bad day at work or for the next domestic with the wife.

196,000 miles currently.. it was burnt out when I bought it at 181,000

No D, R, or N. All went after 300k.

None when I bought it at 194k..... kinda like it that way.......

We have a D light??

Dead since 112k. Currently @ 180k. No desire or want to fix :p

Is it better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all? I had no "D" when I bought my rig 18 months ago, then miraculously IT CAME ON after working on the dash a bit. I had about 12 months of blissful "D" illumination. Alas, last week I started her up and without trauma or explanation, NO MORE "D". It feels like the end of an era....
