well I was able to get together with a friend of mine down in Richmond again for some more welding work... Chris M was the one that did my rear swing arm on the GX ( following my wonderful design ideas ) LOL
This time we built and installed the Rear Bash Bar bumper from 80% Offroad. @mess331470 had already installed it onto his so he knew what was going on.
It was fairly straight forward and it was just get the prep done then laying everything out and just going step by step. The install basically takes 1 day and letting the paint dry overnight.

The kit is nice all the pipe comes pre-bent and also notched so the only real cuts is the bar ends need to be trimmed a bit back to the length you want to run them at.

While we were back there we took the swing arm mounts off and realigned everything after my "mishap" at last years Coal Miners run. It was also nice that the cut got rid of most of the melted bumper bits from the tail pipe squish at Relic last year as well! The drivers side mount was ... well.... tweaked LOL.

If you never have used a plastic welder gun it is a great tool to fix bumpers and body panel mounts... takes a little bit to get used to it but it is a very helpful tool indeed! you can see the "stitching" on the rear bumper and I was able to rejoin a totally broken off body clip to the bumper as well... not perfectly but it is better then no clip!

I was able to "order off menu" from 80% Off Road and got the side hoops that they sell as an option for the 4rnr to use on the GX... looks good and when Chris welded them on that are nice and strong! so they should add a bit of protection to the rear sides.... and a good side step too!

then it was paint with Raptor 1k Roll Bar Paint. I used it on my swing arm and have used it on the White Knuckle sliders as touch up and it has held up very well and looks good.
Paint went on about 11 pm and sat and dried 100% then next morning got another coat dried that in the sun while we were doing other work. turned out very nicely if i do say so myself!

and here are some quick shots from today.. need to still get off the left over residue from the tape that held the bumper on since Coal Miner last year and give her a good clean but I am happy with the results for sure!!

Nice work! Glad to see that this got done before Relic as I know that it was your goal to do so. A little brake cleaner or citrus goo remover and it should look like your last mishap never happened!

not that i wont be taking you up on the garage offers for other things !!!!

Very cool. Can't wait to see it get beat up at relic.
I am hoping it doesn't get beat up at all that with all the clearance it doesn't touch

Follow the solid axle guys and lets see if we can go for round 2 of pulling off the bumper

Yeah let's not try to break me again guys.... remember if I break I can't come back and feed anyone!

I try hard to keep everything in one piece to drive home.... Emphasis on try
