I've seen them come down the build line in the Changchun Assembly Plant in China. And I've driven them all over China and Mongolia. I would not get hung up on Japan versus US Manufacturing. Every American-made Toyota Camry / Corolla / Tacoma / Tundra / Highlander / Venza / Sienna is every bit as good of quality (fit for purpose), reliability (will it start?), and durability (how long will it run?) as a Land Cruiser. It's all down to the Toyota engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing processes. Why would you think they can build a high-quality reliability 200 series in China have you ever seen one driven one I doubt they are as good as the ones made in Japan just like comparing vehicles made in the United States to ones manufactured in Japan JMHO
