Johnny C got me thinking when he posted an early ad for Blonder's Toyota (now a junkyard) here in CT. There must be other ads out there.

So I found this one for another local dealer..................went to check the place out, just a typical mom and pop garage.....abandoned now. :frown:

These are all from Google News searching Toyota, Land Cruiser and Toyopet for '59,60,61 .................... so hit those library microfiches and search engines and lets see some more old print!

Click the link for credits and the full res ad:

Hey Jim send me a link to the ads in post 4. I can't find it.:frown: Stock Toyota photos or done local? All three of my 1960 FJ40s from AZ were white and all three had the factory installed PTO.:hhmm:

nice job Jim....is it ok for Aussie ad stuff?

good idea for the links...i never really have the time to organize a good post :)

I should probably get in the habit of doing that type of thing...i normally look for alil while save what i find and post later when i got the time.

Landcruiser Imports to Australia - The Age 1958

I can't work out how to save the image of this from google - Help there from any one - tried to send it to myself - but no luck.

Here looks to be an article on B & D importing the 25s in 1958 with a photo of the chasis and front only.

Might clear up some questions that have been on Mud for awhile.
