My son's Robotics team Competed this last weekend at the Provincial Championship. When their robot worked it was zippy and very fast. Unfortunately on Saturday they had problems with their 3D printed Planetary gear gearbox. Then on Saturday a solder joint broke in the first match which set them back. In the end they came in 21st out of 48+ teams.
After the competition was over, the Awards ceremony seemed very long... but worthwhile in the end. The last award was the Inspire Award. It was for the team that demonstrated creativity, engineering, helped out other teams when they could, and embodied what they wanted all teams to be. Well..
The won this Award!
Next stop... Huston Texas for the World Final competition in six weeks.
So... we'll be ramping up the fundraising... starting out with a bottle drive. So any contributions are much appreciated.
I'm not so sure about going to the USA... but we can't turn down this opportunity.
