Barbaric !
Yeah pretty brutal.

Property near ours got clear cut by the previous owner. Zero reason for it, made such a mess they devalued the property by 2x more than the wood was worth.
Owner was some higher up forestry guy.
The one time I met him (he wanted to piss on his fence posts) he bragged about how many square miles he'd signed off on clear cutting.

Dickhead just had a hard-on for cutting down trees.

So when he wanted to be given an acre of land because he felt entitled to it, Mel and I quoted him a nice round GFY number and never saw him again.

Where did they even find that tree? It's hard to find anything of that magnitude out there anymore. I've only found stumps that large...LOL.
Allegedly sat at a log sort for years. I'm guessing that pic was taken first thing in the morning.

Driving home from work at 7am with all the logging trucks before the scales open you see some big ones sometimes.

Funny how it's always when the scales are closed.

Did nobody else notice the green 40 series in the first picture left side??

Seapotato on his way to work? Zonked out and didn’t even notice the log!

Damn; good eye! I totally missed that.

@seapotato They probably move the big logs first thing in the morning to try to avoid public attention too. Very strategic I'm sure.

Haha, jesus dude...while we're at it, is that a dime or a nickel on the road?

I don't think that's me. Had some bad juju going on around here lately. Haven't gone anywhere except work and the beer store. 😢

Bring the green thing out wheeling this weekend and escape the worries of real life.

Hah! Naturally I just assumed it was fake news.

An old picture taken before recent logging restrictions were implemented, posted now to be inflammatory. That would make sense how you made the shot with your old crack whore. So I was looking around for any obvious signs that could date the picture like vehicle models and noticed the cruiser.

Every morning as I’m leaving for work i see a couple extended logging trucks full of dam near 100ft beautiful large strait logs I’m assuming are going to be high voltage power poles rolling past my place out of the Victoria watershed gate. I’m not allowed in there to protect the water quality apparently but they can log it I guess..

Ha, maybe, but to be honest it's been such a s*** show we just want to chill the **** out in the yard with the dogs and gardens. Turn the ******* phones off.

Plus the green thing might be my only wheels , I might need to be gentle to it for a bit longer. ..

Just booked appointment for jab #2.

60 get in an accident or something? Not my biz, but whatever's going, hope it resolves ok. Take it easy. That's a hell of a nice yard you have from that picture you posted.

Nah not that. Just other people's drama. :bang:

With the 60, I've had that rattle I can't find and I have most of the parts gathered to tear into it.

So depending what I find it could be down a while. Mel works from home so I can steal her car for work, so seems like a good time to get into it.

If that works, it would be fantastic. Would have been great to have for so many of the jobs I've done on my engine. Usually I end up laying old towels or something over the rad/support to give a bit of comfort; but doesn't really cut it.
Yeah me too. It's not as bad with taller trucks but it's a big reason why I haven't messed with cars a lot. Those low engine bays kill me.

Might be something in the shop I can bastardize :hmm:

Base looks a lot like an engine hoist... didn’t @Toshi38 leave one lying around that you could “adjust” to meet your needs. ;)

You’d not need a hoist... just a platform

Yeah I did consider that. Just heavy and awkward tho.

I have a couple old carts. Maybe between that and an old stepladder...

Princess auto one would probably pay for itself in robaxecet in a year or two

Looks like it would be handy. I had bruises for a week from laying on the 12HT when I did the intercooler and all that
stuff last winter. Could be useful, same as a tray to put nuts and tools in when you are there doing the work.

Any of you guys tried one of these sort of contraptions?

I always get a sore back when I lean over an engine for a day.

Where my son was an apprentice mechanic the inspection folks (they are an inspection facility) said they had to get one of those for safety purposes or they’d not be approved to be an inspection facility.

they apparently didn’t use it very often, but when they did it was apparently a life saver.
