Well fawk me. Wrong day to leave the house.

Had to go to Duncan to bottle a batch of cider.

1) get around corner some dumbass has got his 5ton with a 20' deck full of dumpsters into the ditch. Trying to get unstuck with a small trolley jack (good luck) while blocking half the road.

2) bit of a fire...

3) Ladysmith a semi had it's load of lumber shift and a monster forklift blocking northbound lanes reloading it.

4) leaving mcbarleys (near the lifetimer shop) douchebag in a lowered BMW almost rear ends us in intersection and then drives past flooring it with his fartcan exhaust.

5) back to Ladysmith. Crawling traffic. Lots of tow trucks not just fire issues. Lo and behold, lowered BMW with fartcan exhaust has smashfucked himself into a Honda to put a cherry on top of the traffic issues from the fire.

6) because of this twatwaffle it took 2 hours to get from Ladysmith to cedar.

7) the birds flew.

8) 25.5 litres of cider....

9)25 litres...

welcome to working a regular job and dealing with traffic.

Big O tires in Colwood caught on fire the other day, so did the brush along the E&N (which is along my commute). F*cked me hard on the commute home after a s***e day at work. After removing the boss' head from my Ganges it wasn't what I needed on the way home. Im seriously considering one of those 2 stroke powered flying parasail things, I could land in the field next to work. Take-off from suburbia might raise a few hundred eyebrows though.

Mythbusters had a cool dual fan thing that didn't work if I recall. It might need a revisit.

That sounds brutal. Commuting can suck pretty bad a times.

How 'bout you go a little more modern and commute on a 'Flyboard Air', haha. :hmm:

I've never been a motorbike guy, never owned one or taken one step towards getting one, but ******* I envy those ****ers who just ride up the sidewalk past the thousands of stuck cars.

seeing all the people in Tesla's sweating their bags off in the sun with the windows rolled down was nice tho

I envy those bikers too....until I think about how things will go for them when some kid opens their car door at an untimely moment to take a pee down the bank...haha.

A buddy bought an E-bicycle. Turns out the speed limiter is just in the software. He opened it up and it'll do 50kph now. I bet my average speed commuting is about 4kph some days.

Lots of short cut streets are blocked off now because residents moved to a street then complained there was traffic. All the arteries are plugged solid for a million reasons.... ebike might be a close 2nd to a jetpack.

If I put street tires on my dirtbike and insure it I'd lose my license in a week, so not an option.

That's the funny thing about my commute. Cedar to Duncan, takes about 40 minutes usually. Think it's about 45km each way.

People in cities have 40 minute commutes and only go a couple of miles.

Downside is the miles pile onto whatever I'm driving, although going to 4 on 4 off helped that a bit. About 400 fewer km per month.

So expensive to insure anything these days, it's hard to justify a vehicle just for commuting unless it gets exceptional mileage...

This isn’t looking promising today...

I had to make a quick trip down to South Surrey yesterday on a dog mission, whole drive to close to peace arch the sun was low and in my eyes.

Honestly thought it was the moon at first.

Looked like a red blood moon or something.

I’d run a genny over for you, but you’ll have power before I could get it set up now. :(

Thanks man, appreciate it. I do have a couple, but need to work today and don't want to leave one running unattended. Just used camp stove to make coffee this morning on my back deck, haha.

Just checked BC Hydro's website and seems I'm powered back up now thankfully.

So, since I’m bored out of my mind in another hotel.

Just where did the expression ‘Fartcan’ exhaust come from??
I use it too, but I’ve sure met a lot of people who give me a blank stare when I use it.

Think back to the early 2000's when they were popular. What did they sound like? (A loud fart) What did they look like? (A can). Thus 'fart can'. :D
