These are the assholes who graduated to rolling coal all these years later?......

Exactly. Got jobs in the oil patch and dumped 'fart cans' all together for 5" straight through exhaust.
The Cummins dodge is the new Honda civic.

This particular breed of douchebag is also recognizable by being physically unable to leave the house without at least 2 items of clothing with Carhartt written on them.

At least the trend of wearing the pants halfway down the ass with the underwear hanging out seems to have faded away.

If you want to see a guy with a good eye for a camera, and an interesting trip. HiluxJeremy
drove to Ontario to see family. He stopped in Geraldton when I was there for a visit. We’d never
met prior to that. He just got back out west. His truck, albeit looks like Top Gear had a serious go at it
is a solid rig. It’s called ‘across the top’ on Alberta Ghost Wheelers

It'll be interesting to see where this sort of thing goes in the next decade or so.

I just copied the same story from a different source, thought 'Hey, I got to post that!' Hilarious.

At next week’s SEMA360, a virtual version of the annual Vegas soireé, Chevrolet will show off a 1977 K5 Blazer converted to all-electric propulsion. Under that delightfully squared-off hood is GM’s new Electric Connect and Cruise package, set to hit the market in the back half of 2021.

Informally called ‘eCrate’, this new offering from Chevrolet Performance is set to redefine the phrase “plug-and-play.”

This concept retains as much of the stock Blazer as possible, including just about all the body panels and interior trappings. This will be good news for hot rodders who want to stick batteries up the nose of their project car but wish to retain their rig’s classic look.

the engine of a car

GM says approximately 90 percent of the new parts installed for the eCrate package are factory components from the Chevrolet Bolt EV. The motor delivers 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque and is lashed to a four-speed automatic.

The rest of the Blazer drivetrain – including the transfer case, driveshaft, and axles – remains untouched. This means the stock New Process t-case and Dana 44 are intact (pedants will note Chevy switched to GM Corporate axles around the time this Blazer was new in 1977).

If you’re wondering, Blazers of this era generally hove out around 160 hp from their V8 engines and about 275 lb-ft of torque. In other words, given an EV powertrain’s propensity for delivering 100 per cent of its twist right off the line, this Blazer-E shouldn’t feel underpowered.

Speaking of, electricity is supplied by a 60-kWh battery pack, also out of a Bolt EV. Production controllers and wiring harnesses preserves many Bolt EV features, including battery heating and cooling, battery-overcharge protection, and even regenerative braking. Other fettling by the build team included installing an aftermarket electric power steering kit, an electric pump providing vacuum to the stock brakes, and an electronic controller to drive inputs to the vintage Blazer gauges.

Chevrolet Performance is evaluating additional eCrate packages with higher-performance options and new battery configurations. They’re also busy certifying installers for this kit, with Lingenfelter being the first company to pilot the program. This project is also a far better use of the Blazer name than the car-based crossover that has currently usurped the title.

Will this type of installation eventually become the new LS swap? Sound off in the comment section below.

BTW, it's hitting the shelves for purchase by end of 2021
Sure is amazing, I think the thing is to look hard at how it compares in distance with factory cars.
The battery quality must vary from a GM crate battery and what you get in a Tesla? Research needed

Too :censor: right!

Does anyone know this couple? Anyone really familiar with Nanaimo Lakes area in respect to fishing?
I find it odd, really that someone would go fishing? with a dog when a big snow storm is active.
I'm thinking I might take the CanAm up to take a look around from my side of the river behind
Spruston Road. Looking first for a RED DODGE RAM. Truck still as of today not found.

Found! This morning the guy walked out to cell reception. Downwash from Cormorant Helicopter could be felt through the clouds but they couldn’t see through. They knew from the radio that a search was in play. So they stayed with the truck. Wow! Stuck in the snow. But all good now. 🥳

Good news. They did the right thing trying to say with the vehicle. Glad it ended well.

Am I the last guy to learn that the guy on Rust Valley Restorers is actually a trained
dynamite blast specialist? He was just on a re run of ‘Highway Thru Hell’, clearing rock on the
Fraser Canyon. Referred to as the ‘Rasta Blasta’! Works with his son clearing and blasting rock slides that
come down over the highways.

Everyone needs a real job to support their addictions!

Australian made. Free shipping to Canada. 8.9 hp motor!! Actual 24V and really quite fast. Reasonable price.
Saw these a couple years ago, but forgot about them. Got to talking about running the BJ74 but it's 24V.
This would be the solution and affordable too.

Sherpa 'Brumby' - 10,000Lb High Speed Winch – Sherpa Winches Canada (sherpa4x4.com)

Wow, 8.9hp is a lot. Would really have to make sure your batteries/alternator are up for the job. Would need around 275A at 24V to make 6.6kW (8.9hp).

Specs say it all. Pulls less amps than Warn winch
