Don’t forget Tarantula moths that are now being seen out during the day in Victoria.

I’m ready to leave 2020 behind and move onto 2021.
I had to look up Tarantula moth. That is one incredible insect. Reminds me of Africa
when I fell running after the largest butterfly in Africa to add to our collection.
Im kinda worried about that freaky big Asian hornet, that monster measures 2”!!

Looked after 22 Tarantulas for a few weeks, so a moth doesn't scare me much.

Used to go out at night hunting tarantulas and scorpions as a kid in Africa.
Wolf Spiders scared me a lot more, bigger and faster but worse really aggressive.
How big is that Tarantula Moth supposed to get? I’ll have to go look for one.

I see some huge moths around the street light in front of my house at night. Wonder if they're these things?

Heck of a deal!! Yup, Amazon has changed the face of retail. And it’s getting to be an ugly face. But won’t stop shopping there I guess
About 15 or so years ago (maybe 20?) I called a guy who had a backyard absolutely stuffed with parts on the mainland.
My cluster was a bit s***ty so I called him thinking it couldn't be that much for a better used one.
He wanted $450. Even back then...

Pretty sure I said something like "holy s*** are you kidding"

Proceeded to tell me they were something like 1k or more from toyota and ICBC had just written off a BJ42 he knew about because someone had stolen the cluster out of it...

Needless to say I didn't buy it.

Custom ones with new gauges aren't even that much.

I'd rather not use amazon, Bezos has enough money.

But...It's just so freaking convenient. Even before covid, I could spend 2 hours driving around town looking for something or a few clicks and wait a couple days.

Convenient, but sometimes a ripoff. I checked amazon before buying a new chain for the Husqvarna... $50 for a real one, $22 for an aftermarket. The local shop had the real deal, confirmed it was the right one, etc... $25 taxes in. For the extra $3 I’d rather not wonder about the quality of a chain that’ll slice a limb off in a moment if it fails. Now I’ve got the original from ‘96 and a spare.

Yeah the "free shipping" is usually just shipping costs are hidden.

The problem is the age old Vancouver Island excuse of not stocking anything.
Vancouver doesn’t have it, it has to come from Calgary, and that will be $45
shipping. To be honest, I got stuff purchased cheaper, and shipped personally
courier cheaper from Australia, than bringing from Vancouver.

Students may come to school if family members (or people they are in close contact with) have Covid-19 symptoms... so long at the student is not displaying symptoms and the person they’re in contact with is seeking medical treatment,

It’s not like symptoms don’t show up for two weeks or anything like that.

I was told by the school, that the Ministry of education is prohibiting in person schools from offering at home programs.
