One thing is for certain, our country is becoming a lot more polarized through this. Reminds me a lot of the politics south of us.

As I know people in both courts, I just keep my mouth shut and do the things I enjoy. I've become frighteningly apathetic to the politics of this country....

So... I was off by a couple of days. The canadian Gestapo has moved in and are beating up peaceful protesters. Are you guys proud of these Pigs? I guess if you stick your fingers in your ears and look anywhere but at what's going on you'll get through. So disappointed in my fellow citizens today and Canada in general. Apparently the Ottawa Mounted Police trampled an older lady this evening and there are reports she died from her injuries. The legacy news media has claimed that a protester threw a bicycle frame toward the horse which spooked it causing the animal to react in the way it did. The lady mentioned earlier used a walker for mobility and was seen moments before professing peace to the crowd.

So the lady that was trampled by the horses did not die. Just thought I'd make sure no one would hold that against me for not sharing the truth after I learned it . I think the Protesters will outnumber the protester protesters in Vic today. I agree with Steve on this one. You couldn't make this s*** up.

Well, further to my bitter housing rant in the 'TLC on used vic' thread, here is an interesting comparison I came across a couple months ago. After the 2007 economic crisis in the US, the housing prices corrected, and didn't go wacky again. Canada however did not correct, and continues to go nuts. How can we remain competitive with the US when property costs so much more here? I suspect there is a correction on the way.....
