Hi! My name is Cindy/Kenny. We been a member of GXOR FaceBook group for few months now. We’re a Lexus and Toyota specialist by trade in Atlanta, GA, USA. Been working in the automotive industry since 1997, Lexus/Toyota since 2003.

It was a honor when Dan(Vlad) ask us to make an intro post about our build on here and also share on GXOR.

We get lot of questions about our build. Raven(my GX470) definitely not done building yet. But we'll try putting together a detail mod list at the end of this post with some photos. But here is the little story how did we came upon them(Raven).

They(Raven) were bought from action by my boss to use as his wife's truck. They bought their oldest son home from the hospital in them. Couple years later(about 4 years ago), they were upgrading to something bigger for their growing family. He ask me will I be interested of buying them. I thought about it and decided to take them home as my "grownup's vehicle". Told myself they gonna stay stock and NO mods. Well......... as you can tell, that didn't happen.🤦🏻‍♀️

Fast forward to more recent time. The urge of off-roading was calling. And I caved in and started simple mod on them. Started off with Icon Stage 1 lift kit, BMC mod, LT295/70R17 E Nitto Trail Grappler paired with FN Wheel's Overlander 17x8.5" -6mm 4.5"BS.
Not too long after that was completed. We had a little incident on a trail where their front bumper was slightly damaged. That was a gateway for a bumper upgrade.🤷🏻‍♀️🤣 We went with Metal Tech 4X4 Goblin front bumper with Warn 10-S winch. With the addition added weight, We ended up upgraded to Icon's HD springs front and rear with sway bars deleted.
That extra flex with no sway bars cause both front lower control arm stock bushings ripped. So Whiteline LCA bushings was install as stock replacements. They definitely feel a lot tighter then stock.

That's pretty the start of the build. There are more parts/mods after since that point.

What is the best part about this build you may ask?
It is the PEOPLE I met and the new FRIENDSHIPS I made!! I LOVE Y'all!!❤️😀

I’m surprised you have a locked 8” rear. May I ask why you chose that over an 8.2 swap +/- locker?

The rig is looking great. You had the domino effect...you start modding something which leads to something else needing upgrading which leads to something else not looking right!

If you have a moment to share the story on your rear diff modifications. What led you in the path of staying with the 8" rear diff, but re-gearing to 4.56, rebuilding the diff, and adding an Eaton elocker? I'm interested in hearing your thinking as I only dream of eventually doing something to my rear diff which is still stock. By the way, thanks for posting all the parts you used for the rear diff work. I took note of them...just in case I go down that path.
