Yes, good score, welcome, and without any offense at all, our official salute to you... . This is a great place with great people (except junk, he's just junk ).
Iam so happy get so many wellcome message from you guys. This seems to be a pretty friendly and informative forum!! Well, talk about mud, I will definately cover it with lots of mud and lots of mod as well= getting broke too In fact, I just had my 96 4runner built up less than 8 months ago, and now I am getting into a TLC, I can see my wallet complaining now!!!
I hope it looks as good as it does. I am flying to PA to pick it up tomorrow. Can't wait any longer. 97 TLC runs around $13-16k, I think yours sounds ok too Is time to build it up. I have access to some very good deal on ARB stuffs, I know a guy work at Toyota of Dallas who can order stuff really cheap. I was quoted $640 for a ARB winch bumper yesterday. Let me know if you are interested, I will give you his contact.
I will say welcome also...I am over in Abilene but make sure you check out LSLC.org and also become a TLCA member. Both are great organizations and well worth your support. LSLC is Lone Star Land Cruisers and we meet the 3rd. Thurs. of every month. There is more info on the site.
Hope it works out well for you. I personally can't imagine buying a truck through e-bay blind. I know someone else who did this and he's happy with his, but it still seems to be quite a gamble. I'd be a little concerned that the door sticker was unreadable since that's the only way to know if the lockers were indeed installed at the factory, doesn't mean they are still in there but at least they were at one point.
