I just bought my 96' in December and noticed the 4 brackets (each with one bolt) which attach the front part of the rear seats (not 3rd row) to the floor are uncovered. My 95' 4Runner had plastic covers over these and I'm just wondering if there is supposed to be something there which is not. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. :D

No covers on the fronts. There is a cover somewhere on the hinged rear mounts that has to be popped off for removal on these 2nd row seats. You reminded me mine are on the workbench from a year ago and I've got to get them on before they're lost.

Hi there, My '97 has covers on both the front and rear brackets on the middle row. The front ones don't stay on so well now that I've taken them off and on several times (without the seats the air mattress fits in quite nicely for those overnight fishing trips...). Maybe the '97 is different but I wouldn't think so. I imagine that Cruiser Dan could give you a definitive answer. Good Luck.

Mine has covers on the backside of the front hinges that are only visible when the seat is folded up, on the front of the front hinge there are small caps on the heads of the bolts that it, looks OEM to me.

Thanks for the feedback...I just checked and I have the rear covers for the middle row, but looks like I maybe missing something on the fronts as the 97's and 96' LX above have some sort of cover. Cruiser Dan can you help?

Thanks again,

Russell
