Awesome looking cruiser!!! Where did you find it in GA? Was it on ebay? Congrats on your purchase...looks great.

I saw it on ebay but negotiated offline after it didn't sell. It was in Savannah, so I was able to drive down and check it out. Fortunately, it's really solid and the diamond plate is just for looks. I'll be taking off the diamond plate and filling the holes shortly. I don't mind the look, but I'm concerned about what will happen to the tub (can you say rust) if I leave aluminum diamond plate on in the Charleston environment.

Feel free to PM me if you want to get together for a beer.

I'm glad you got one you liked. It's a 77 also, same year as mine. How do you like driving it?

Did you notice the overpricing in GA or is it just me?

As I've said to several others, a vehicle is a bargain if you get it for a price you're willing to pay. I paid $11.5K which was about $1.5K more than I really wanted to. However, considering the shape the cruiser is in, I'm happy. Plus, the PO had a full tigertop that I've already sold and I'll be listing the diamond plate tailgate, corners and steps to recoup a bit more of the investment. (Of course, all that I make and more will eventually go back into the cruiser.)

I'm thoroughly enjoying driving it. I'll probably invest in a PS upgrade in the next year, but for now I'm just gonna enjoy it. My only problem is that I now tend to oversteer and overbrake my volvo when I switch from the cruiser.
