I've been lurking the board here for quite some time and picked some great tips for you folks, ie. getting parts from Slees, (like a cup holder above the radio!) to understanding wheel lock technology.
I replaced my 1992 LandCruiser about 1 year ago.. I loved that truck, eventhough it was a bit underpowered. But it was great in the snow. I sold it with 177K miles in very good condition, with the exception of some drive train slop. I replaced u-joints, yoke, but the slop was still excessive.
I came across a 97 LX 450 with only 72K miles in great condition to replace my old 92 last year, unfortunately, no lock switch in the dash, but it's still a tank in the snow and nice rig. I also love the extra power and the 4 wheel disk brakes.
I was conditioning the interior with Turtle wax leather cleaner, and it ruined my steering wheel. The leather on the wheel just melted. Now I have this ugly steering wheel. I was looking a wheelskins, but before I order a wheelskin cover, I was looking for other possibilities to fix the appearance of my steering wheel. Also, I notice that my steering wheel looks like it's covered from the factory,
do I remove this cover before I install the wheelskins?
Have any of you folks tried wheelskins or other steering wheel covers?
Thanks! You folks are great!
