Took the console out this evening to mount a couple of 12 volt recepts, found this disconnected set of wires and this under the passenger seat.

The "disconnected wires" are normal. The "black box" is probably part of an old aftermarket car phone, it IS NOT factory.

Yep... obvious CIA surveillance device

Thanks Cdan!

Heated Seats??

They look like the wires for the heated seats. Seeing as Mr Toyota wires for every eventuality.

They are normal - in the Land Cruiser badged version of the truck - but a process of elimination points to an application related to the mobile phone and upgraded, center console-mounted audio system that were unique to the Lexus LX-450 badged version of the truck sold here in the U.S. (and perhaps others outside of NA).

Cheers, R -

In the side storage pouch in the rear on the driver's side you may find the other end of the cable where it attaches to the built in antanea. When I first saw that I figured my lexus came with cable television, but it was the built in phone stuff.
