VI Cruisers member rigs: the Crustys' BJ42, Stumpies' FJ40, Rigpig's HJ60 and my HDJ81 met this morning for a day of wheeling in the rain and snow.

Winches whined, shovels searched for solid ground, a fire warmed, a battery wa shared, and happy memories with friends were created.

Thanks all, for a fun day on the snow.

did ya make it to the lake?

nope, we decided to enjoy a small campfire, late lunch, and try to get out before dark - LOL didn't make it out before dark either

Thankfully, on the mainline out, Stumpy lent me one of his batteries so that I could run the windshield wipers and at least have running and brake lights.

Gotta love diesel and friends... Thanks Stumpy!

how much snow was up near weaks? We may run there instead of mt. brenton if there is snow.

We didn't get very far... It was slow going breaking trail.

There was about 8-10" at the bottom of the trail. The snow was dense enough that you could walk on the surface in most places. Who knows what last night's rain did...

or... there is often an empty seat. i'm sure if you ask around, you'll be able to find one for the next outing.

the up side is... riding bitch is a great motivator to get your junk done.:D

Hi Ken, thanks.

You're welcome to ride along next time; there's usually a couple open seats.

I took the alternator and batteries into Brian Roberts Auto Electric this morning for testing - one dead cell and one cooked alternator. They should have the alternator rebuilt tomorrow and then I'll be shopping for a pair of new batteries.
