Putting up the introductory post, as I’m helping my brother baseline his new 1996 LX450. It has 176k miles, is very clean/rust free, so it’s a matter of replacing fluids, cleaning the thing, making everything work, figuring what doesn’t, then remediating.
So far it has been a process of most fluids. He had a shop replace some brake line/hoses that had corrosion.
I have been using this forum because of its wealth of information. I’m pretty active with DIY, and appreciate what value forums like this bring. Now I can ask questions!
