New to the forum! Sorry if this is miss placed.

Looking at getting an 80 series and wondering what are they going for these days and what's a rip off.

Not trying to get into a war, just genuine advice on what they are selling for (especially with lockers)

Thanks!
Eric

People get too hung up on lockers. Do NOT pass on an otherwise cream puff just because it's missing lockers. You can add those later.

Rust, mileage, condition, maintenance and location will dictate all.

FWIW I just helped a friend purchase a 96 with 200k in decent shape for $6k. Was it a deal? No. Was it fair? I think so.

Like @NLXTACY said...condition and more importantly location. East coast prices seem like they're always much higher than the left coast. If I were you, I'd use search and or google to find your local land cruiser club and talk to some of the members to get a feeling for what they're paying or would pay for a vehicle in a given condition. You may also try and ask a knowledgeable member to accompany you to check out an 80 series. Beware though, they may try and buy it lol. By the way, this question is asked bi-weekly it seems anymore, so search may also be more revealing. Best of luck and welcome to MUD

Thanks for the info. Got my eye on a 96 with lockers , 260k miles and two owners at a dealership. Leather seats have been redone, but asking more than I'm comfortable giving with that many miles
