a good local tire shop should have an assortment of sockets to remove lugnuts
many customers misplace the socket

Good reason to support the vendors at the top of the page - most are competent. It pays to shop prices and shipping. Often I find enough

If this is the first time you have to deal with this since purchasing the vehicle I would search the cab for the key socket for the locking lug nuts. If you can't find it and tire shop doesn't have one that work would try a Impact socket. I've done this in the past. I find one just smaller than what will fit over it. Use a hammer a drive in on. Then use a breaker bar. The drive the locking lug nut out of the socket. Throw the lug nut in the metal scrap pile and install new not locking lug nuts. Unless your in an area your worrying about someone stealing you wheels I wouldn't use them. Have a flat tire on the road your probably going to need a tow versus a quick tire change if you can't get the wheel off. I purchased a new vehicle back in the 1980s that had locking lug nuts. First time I went to rotate the tires I couldn't get the key to work because of the poor design and how tight they were. Drove to the dealer and had them deal with it. Probably still have key and four locking lug nuts in a box a have with a bunch of these I've removed.

for some reason I dont think our toyota vendors will be much help as it seems to me he has a 2019 chevy silverado and not an fj40 :)

I could be wrong ... he probable came here because Mud has been showing up on google searches for all sorts of car questions and not limited to TLC specific

he's better of going to 2019 CHEVROLET | Shop Now at RockAuto - https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,2019 lol

I caught the 2019 Silverado and my answer would fit any vehicle. No sense being rude to someone joining a group to get help.
My 2016 Silverado uses a 22mm deep socket for the lug nuts. I'm not sure if the threads are the same as my 40, never checked.
14MM might fit the time frame when Toyota switched to five lug wheels. FJ40s are 12MM.

The FJ25 and early 1960s FJ40 used a 23MM lug wrench with 12MM lugs. The FJ25s at least used thinner 23MM lugs. Petty sure the 14MM shank thickness of the lugs.
