First I appreciate all the info on the this forum. I've spent hours on here looking up info and am amazed that every thing I could even think of asking seems to have been covered with detailed info and some great photos and tutorials. This past month I purchased a 99 LX470. This will be a long running project as first I'll tackle some maintenance items then get to rock sliders, lockers, bumpers, stereo, back-up camera for the wife, etc.....

But first mod was wheels and tires. I really didn't want these tires but the deal was too good to pass up so I got some Tundra TRD rims and had them powder coated. I don't know if its the taller tire or the type of tire but the ride inside the vehicle has been much better with the new tires. 1" Bora wheel spacers ordered today. Again I appreciate all the info on here and will post as I start to get things done.

Pulled off the running boards. Currently getting TB and WP, new radiator, brake pads, rotors, and unfortunately a new steering rack. Well, it’s only money....

Welcome. I’m a me to me LX over as we’ll going on my second month.

at least with all the work you’re getting done it’ll be good for awhile.

Okay so new brake pads, new radiator, new WP and TB, and new steering rack! Enough maintenance. Also added 1” Bora wheel spacers and replaced the Toyota badges with Lexus on the center caps. Oh, and new Toyo AT3s 265/70R18’s.
Rock sliders next!

Put on Metaltech rock sliders today. Was a little of pain doing it solo this morning. I’d recommend asking friend for help if you planning on doing it.

You may want to consider converting this to your "build" thread and applying the appropriate forum tag.

I would but I can't exactly figure out how to do that! Or I can't figure out how to do the prefix "build"

I wouldn't worry about it--it is personal preference for sure.

Also, nice looking rig!

So it’s been a while since I’ve updated but got new bumper, new skid plate and new recovery points.

Bad news is hail got it good in January. It’s got about $7K worth of dimples. Researching option now. I just got my Tundra back that I dropped in at the end of January to get fixed!

7k worth of dimples? **** it. Now you have no excuse but to wheel it on the trails and abuse it, who cares. Not worth "fixing" the dimples, imo.

I’ve really been thinking about that as that would pay for lockers! But i kind of like it looking nice. I’m trying to find the right compromise of fixing most of it but also saving some money.

My two lockers were less than half that, brother and I didn't get some special deal. Go for the lockers and now you can just enjoy the ride, don't have to worry about a scratch or dent here and there.
