Hello all!

I'm local to the Bay Area, CA and wanted to share my recent pick up!

I've been lurking on here for a little bit before deciding to go with the GX 460. I'm super happy with it so far and can't wait to install a roof rack and other things on it.

Also I'f anyone has a roof rack for sale please let me know!

Thanks for looking :D

Congratulations on your new ride!
Please feel free to share any and everything to do on this forum!

Thank you everyone for the welcome!

Here’s an update:

Plastidipped the chrome badges on the back and installed a F Sport grille and plastidipped the emblem and trim.

I also switched out the headlights for LEDs and did the interiors as well.

Do you have a picture of the back with the finished plastidip? I have one the same color. I love the look of the front but don't think I have seen the black plastidip on the back chrome pieces.

Alrighty, another update!

SCS had a blemished set of gold Ray10’s that i picked up locally. I’m not nit picky about blemishes as i plan to go wheelin in dirt and rocks anyways.

I guess i got lucky because the only blemishes were very tiny specks of black paint on the gold lip which is barely even noticeable.

I spoke with Vin and was very impressed with the hand off. He was patient and answered my questions and even gave helpful advice in areas I didn’t even think.

I highly recommend SCS after Vin explained to me how strict they are on their QC process, they actually care more than you think when it comes to ensuring each wheel they make is perfect.

I just wrapped them up in 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's.

Ironman 4x4 nitro gas suspension with UCA's are next! Stay tuned.

After installing the wheels and tires, I checked for rubbing. It currently rubs on the front tiny mud flap and on the rear side of the front fender liner closest to the body mount. I removed the front mud flaps but it's still rubbing on the inner fender liner so I'll have to play with that tomorrow. The ride is smooth and feels good! Once that lift goes on it should be even better.

Thanks for looking!

Update time!

Finally got the Ironman 4x4 Nitro gas stage 2 installed. I was able to get the fronts done without removing the battery, tie rod ends and sway bars. For the rear i had to remove the rear sway bar off the axle and panhard bar for more droop.

It rides so much better now and cornering feels great! Front nose dive during braking has definitely improved and offroading felt like a dream!

The view looks great from inside the car now. I am still rubbing on the inner passenger side liner bolt but ill tend to that later.

KDSS was not touched during the install, however after completing the install and test driving, i noticed about a 1-1.25” inch lean on the passenger side.

I watched a video on correcting KDSS lean by an Aussie bloke and decided to give that a try. I loosened both the screws on the KDSS thingy 2 turns then backed the truck up to get the rear driver side wheel up on a block of wood, then closed up the valves and drove off to see the results.

Unfortunately after 4-5 attempts at correcting the lean by adjusting the valves, i was only able to get the passenger side within 0.75-1” of the driver side.

My plan now is to try out the 26mm Spring spacer recommended by Ironman 4x4. Hopefully that’ll even out the rear and the front passenger will follow. I’ll find some time to fix her up and report back!

Thanks for looking.

It is so weird how random that KDSS lean is.
I have a 3" lift with UCA's, rear control arms, yda-yda-yda, along with a lot of off-roading and never had an issue with lean!
o_O QUICK!!! FIND ME SOME WOOD TO KNOCK ON!!!

Looks amazing. Love the gold SCS. Do you have any pics of how you mounted your awning to your roof basket?

Thanks! I wasn’t sure on the gold at first but it’s grown on me now.

i dont have any pics but i plan on doing an update soon on the mounts and ill post up some pics then!

Sweet build. I love the wheels! You went a little overboard with taping on the plastidip! Worth a chuckle from me. The stuff peels off so easy and a little goo gone and it comes right off the paint where you over-spray in case any ones else is looking to do it. (I've done badges with no tape cuz I was lazy, grabbed the goo gone and a toothpick and done!)

Thanks! Haha yeah i didnt realize how overkill it was at first but looking back now it still gives me a good laugh!

How well has the plastidip held up on the rear?

I like the gold on the SCS wheels, it works well with the truck. Sadly I don't share your sentiments in regards to SCS/Vin. I haven't been all that impressed with how the finish is holding up on my SCS wheels and Vin wasn't very helpful on a few different occasions. I love the look of their wheels but I won't be buying them again in the future.

What's up with the tennis ball in the receiver?

I have been looking at these Ray10’s as an option. I see the 17” comes in two widths, 8.5” with a-10 offset, and a 9” with a -38 offset. Which size did you get? It is so hard to judge offsets. I really appreciate the pics.

Thanks! The plastidip has held up pretty well but there are a few chips now due to passengers and myself being a little rough on the rear gate.

I’ve heard stories about SCS but I’m a firm believer of seeing it for myself and so far I’ve had nothing short of a great interaction with that business.

haha tennis ball was there when i bought it

I got the 8.5” with -10 offset. The 9” -38 offset looks really aggressive though.

Mini update!

Finally installed the Ironman4x4 rear poly spacer
on the passenger side. This was done to correct the 1” lean i had on the passenger side.

Prior to installing the spacer i had tried to correct the lean by opening the KDSS valves and letting it sit to equalize but after 8-10 attemps or so i couldn’t get it to even out.

Now that the spacer is in, all four corners measure within the 13mm factory spec. I physically feel the car is more level while driving and everything feels nice and tight!

I also cleaned up the rear axle a little and sprayed some Rustoleum under coating, just a temporary coat until i find more time to really get in there and do more.

Next update will be a new quick release awning mounts!

Thanks for looking :)
