I just switched from a 2006 LC100 to a 2011 LX570. 'Super rare' Pearl White / Cashmere w / 155K miles and it looks like the maintenance is up to date. Pics below.
Overall, I am very excited about it but I have a few things to work through before I turn it over to the family.
1) Purchase a second key. Looks like that's about a $250 item. I'd also like to get a credit card key if there is a cost-effective option. Does that come from Lexus direct or is there an aftermarket option. [Going aftermarket. $245 and they come to the house!]
2) The Passenger Seat Heater isn't working (no light, no heat). A very important item in my house! I'm going to do a little troubleshooting and then likely buying the 07-12 LS ECU based on what I've read
3) The liftgate opens automatically but needs to be closed manually. Need to figure out if that's a pinch sensor or something else. [Pinch sensors. [Need to figure out if I need 1 side or two. They are expensive at $800 / each.]
4) Replace lift gate struts. There is some droop so I'm going to go ahead and take care of that first. According to Lexus, there are two different part numbers based on the build date so I'll take care of that ASAP. [Ordered: OEM - $100 each]
5) Headlights are a bit cloudy. If anyone can recommend the best product/approach, that would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll be replacing both. [Going the professional route - $100 for both]
6) Pet cover for the rear seat. Very important! Looks like there are a lot of options so If anyone has a recommendation, please advise. [I went with an Orvis cover. Orvis Grip-Tight® Backseat Protector - https://www.orvis.com/product/orvis-grip-tight-backseat-protector/3F79.html ]
7) Just figured out the hard way the passenger low beam is out! [Solution: Harness came apart from the housing. Bought bulb anyway. Fixed]
8) Storage cover for Cool Box. [$15 on amazon]
