yea but the bumper can be even with the frame or sit below it also...

mine is mounted on the middle setting - there are three holes you can used to adjust how high you mount it. I looked at it on both and liked the middle. The hoop bar is shorter on the new one from what I can tell so I mounted it a bit higher to get more protection up top and more clearance down low.
Could you get us a photo of the frame/mounts? I'm kinda deliberating as to what setting I want with the 1" body lift, and keep wondering what the frame relation is going to be like. Would be good to get some additional pic's of these kind of things for the site anyhow.
I really do like the ARB but the only thing I wish it had were end caps on the sides to give it a more finished look to it. I don't think it would create any functional difficulties if they did the end caps to wrap around the sides like the "stock" caps on the oem bumper.

Yeah, I kinda missed that detail. The new one does have more of a "capped look" though. There are also some plastic "caps" that mount on the cab on some FJ60's that I've seen which tidy it up even more.
Well, they've been discontinued, so I guss it will now vary on the "used" prices.

Hog Tested ARB
Put the ARB to the test on Christmas morning. Was driving at about 6am in the dark on a small country road going about 50mph and this hog ran out of a ditch and right in front of me. The bumper had a piece of hog hanging from the underside of it but no damage. Quite a rush and was fortunate to keep the cruiser on the road. Unfortunate part is the bumper slammed the hog down into the pavement and then I ran over it and now to go straight my steering wheel has to be at about 2 o'clock. Anyway, an endorsement for the ARB front bumper and a picture of a dead hog.

The 8274 will fit nicely. The only downside is you won't be able to fit large off-road lights due to the way the 8274 fits.
