Koffer,
Merry Christmas to you;)

Damn I wish Jersey wasn't so far.......................

That and Junk didn't live in the god forsaken state.

Congrats man that is way cool. I want one really bad. someday, someday.

Can you elaborate on the difference between the models, other than height? They have several with similar weight ratings, assymetrical arms, but big $$$ difference...

Asymmetric arms allow the car to be placed back in the lift a little so it is easier to open the doors. Pretty sure the symmetric are only best for vans and pickup trucks, or something like that.

how does one get a thing like this attached to the floor? Enough to just put 4 bolts down in holes in concrete or does one have to dig and do fancy footing work?...)

Bolts to the concrete. There are criteria for the thickness and psi rating of the slab, but no digging is required.

They ARE the greatest thing since sliced bread and bottled beer!

Its up .
Took me about 7 hours to do it by myself . The hardest part of it was putting the cross bar with no help .
It took me a couple more hours the next day to run the sparky juice .
Seems to work good but untill I finish the toolbox project and get all the drawers and tools off the floor (ran out of paint  on Sunday so I worked on the lift) I wont be able to "test" it with something till then
The last pix is of the engine crane that was nice enough for bend . BTW it was not a folding unit

Well,
your shop is a little better than the lean-to shed that I have draped canvas drop cloths around for walls. Congrats -- looks great
