New Pioneer HU w/ Old CD changer (1 Viewer)

Has anyone used a new Pioneer Head unit to control the factory CD changer in a lx450?? I would like to retain the functionality of the changer since I dont plan on pulling it out...and yes, I know the benefits of Ipods (dont hijack my thread). I just didnt know if Pioneer was still using the same connectors and command instructions they were 10 years ago. Any help would be well, helpful.

Google "PIE changer interface" and you can find an adapter piece that should let you control the stock changer with the pioneer head unit. Hopefully they still have those around. I would provide one but we stopped carrying them at my store a while ago. Sorry. Hope this helps
