I just purchased a Silver 2010 GX460 with 140k miles for $19k out the door and I would appreciate some advice. I come from a 2005 GX470 (bought for $7k, sold 3 years later for $7k) with 240k miles and 3 years (60k miles) of overlanding experience with a Roofnest rooftop tent. We mainly get remote on dirts roads: we don't rock crawl.

My previous rig was bone stock and I would like to get the new one that way as well, unless the existing mods are reliable.

1. Tires: The previous rig had Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and we loved them. I never had an grip problems (made it to Harrah pass easily). They were quiet on the road. The new truck came with BFGoodrich K02 (265/65R18) tires (3 year old date codes) and, while I know they are perhaps the best off road tire, they are loud in everyday use. The rims are also XD rims with some plastic things that cover the middle.

Has anyone had any luck selling these types of things and getting enough to make it worth while. I have found stock rims for $100 closeby, so stock rims are ok. These tires are also a bit oversized so the fenderliners have been cut.

2. There are some spacers under the differential that I believe need to go. Your advice?

3. The upper control arms have been replaced with Total Chaos Fab control arms. I have told by @rav8 they might need periodic lubing and replacement of the ball sleeve. I have replaced engines and transmissions in cars and do most of my own work, but I don't really have any interest in these control arms as I don't think they will do anything for me. The second picture below shows the nature of the current suspension. It all looks stock (toyota shocks and springs) so obviously someone had a lift on it which was removed and sold before selling the vehicle. Your advice?

Congrats on your newer GX! And welcome to the forum!
Generally aftermarket control arms will allow more articulation without hitting the shocks, but if you're just running everything stock, it wouldn't matter.
You may be able to trade out your TotalChaos UCA's for stock with someone on the forum.
Regarding rims, I'd suggest going with 17" wheels. The tires will be cheaper and more readily available and with a taller side wall, provide a smoother ride, especially when you wander off the tarmac.
Trying to sell "take-off's" can be tough. Building my current rig, I just left the wheels with the shop after I got my new ones. Albeit, I don't have space at my home to horde everything I take off and replace on my rig.

Kind of a 'bump' because I want to make sure I wasn't giving @markthegrea bad info. (I haven't lifted my GX and am coming from 4th Gen 4Runner experience).

Those look like they are from this or a similar drop kit (LEXUS GX460 2010-CURRENT 1 INCH DIFF. DROP SPACER KIT | TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION - https://www.chaosfab.com/product/2010-2022-Lexus-GX460-Diff-Drop-Spacer-Kit-87200). This thread: Opinions Wanted: What Height to Set Lift - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/opinions-wanted-what-height-to-set-lift.1302415/ talks a little on the GX460's CV angles and how a front diff drop is probably unnecessary for a mild lift. I recommended pulling the spacers out, especially if @markthegrea is looking to restore stock suspension handling and reliability.

Looks like these (LEXUS GX460 2010-CURRENT UPPER CONTROL ARMS - LEXUS GX460 | TOTAL CHAOS FABRICATION - https://www.chaosfab.com/product/2010-2022-Lexus-GX460-Upper-Control-Arms), which look to restore 3 degrees of caster after a suspension lift. It is my understanding that the uniballs do not typically last as long as a factory ball joint and require more frequent replacement. My opinion is that those uppers should be swapped for stock as well if a lift is not in @markthegrea 's future. The simplicity and reliability of stock is hard to beat.

I agree with @r2m that selling/trading those uppers should be no problem at all. Awesome parts in the right application.
