Bought a couple of these to repair my harness - I only needed one, but I figured a spare was well worth the extra few bucks. They are listed as 2JZ knock sensor plugs, but they are indeed the same plug that our 1FZ-FE knock sensors use. I bought 2 of each part number listed below, and they came as fully assembled, ready to solder-in pigtails. They are OEM plugs (per the vendor) that even have the OEM terminal code molded into them (11166.)

They look EXACTLY like OEM, and after receiving them, I have no reason to doubt the vendor. I'm sure they come from the same place that Mr. T got them from.

https://www.chasebays.com/product/connectors--terminals/1-pin/toyota-2jz-knock-sensor-1p-connector

I selected all 3 options available for that connector for a grand total of $6.60 each and they came fully assembled, ready to solder in.

Just in case the link breaks in the future, the vendor is ChaseBays.com and the part numbers (surely specific to this vendor) are:

  • C11-05
    2JZ Knock 1P Connector
  • C103
    2JZ & RDX INJ Terminal
  • C05-WS
    Weather Seal 58 series
  • CB-6PT
Chase Bays 6" Pig Tail for Connectors

I am not affiliated with the vendor in any way, I just found these while searching online, and figured I'd pass them along.

Hope this helps some fellow Mudders.

Great info! But I thought the 1FZ-FE knock sensors use a shielded cable and the pigtails shown in your photo aren't shielded. How are you going to splice into the factory harness?

The end of the factory harness wire at the plug is not shielded... The shielding runs through the length of the harness, but the shielding stops short of the plug - the last ~3 inches at the plug are simply insulated wire just like the pigtails. I cut the factory harness until there was about 1.5" of unshielded wire left, stripped the end, soldered it to 1.5" of pigtail/plug and sealed it with adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing. The overall length is unchanged, and the factory shielding is 100% intact.

Man I love this site just broke one last night and nobody I could find carried anything like this.
Thanks so much

Found this old thread looking for a replacement plug a couple weeks ago and decided to look the seller up. It turns out that they don't sell connectors anymore. Someone else bought out that part of the company. So, I found his name and asked if he would still sell me what I needed. I got to be honest, I knew one was a knock sensor plug, but I didn't know the name of the other. I sent the guy a picture and sure enough, $3 each, with pigtails! Add $6 for shipping and everything came fast. Looks like an exact fit. Very pleased.

I have no idea if he would make a wiring harness for a land cruiser, but he had the connectors I needed and shipped them the same day I paid him. I figured I would spread the word.

Thank you for posting up the new company info!

Yeah, Cory was very responsive. Very easy to get what I needed. I should have found more connectors like an O2 sensor connector and such. Didn't think about asking at the time...

I'll most likely order again.

Hey guys, where are the actual sensors located that these plugs go into? I have the 1FZFE inline 6 - can't find any good information on this.

I think I see the front sensor in the front near the oil filter, but cannot see the other one anywhere. Are there any diagrams or photos to help with this?

I have a P0330 code and pretty sure my back knock sensor is just unplugged.

Yes, both are on the top of the block, behind the oil filter.
