Hi All,

After a few vehicles (lifted/locked/armored 2001 Taco, 2004 V8 Runner) and my current 2011 Tacoma, I have decided that I miss the soft ride and silky smooth V8 of the 120 platform.

I have been cruising T4R.org/toyota120/clublexus with not much GX info. Happily I checked IH8mud which has the most info by far.

I recently have been unpleased with how loud/uncomfortable the Tacoma is for a DD. Having loved my past '04 V8 4Runner I started the search for an 06+ Limited Runner, which turned into GX's.

I test drove a GX at a local dealer (07 base model) and fell in love with the refined interior. I will be continuing the search for the exact truck I want, as there is currently nothing on the market that I like, while trying to sell my lifted 2011 Tacoma.

Looking for an 05+ with ML Navi and the light coloured dash and under 60k miles.

I am amazed that GX's are the same price as a T4R, when it is leaps and bounds a nicer vehilce to be inside.

Truck will receive the usual minor mods, Coils and tricked rear bags; but I am hoping to figure out a airbag spacer to preserve some of the rear travel.

The truck will be used mainly for DD work, but used heavily in the spring/summer months for backcountry camping in my Kamparoo Weekender.

Good luck in the hunt! A lot will bolt on. The cosmetic stuff takes a bit more effort. Worth it in every way in my opinion!

If it makes your search any easier, I'd skip the navi. There's no getting around the fact that it's an old navi unit, and updating the maps won't change that. My only real regret with the one we found so far, makes it real hard to put an aftermarket double din touch screen navi deck in the dash.

Agreed. I got non-navi and it made my aftermarket search a LOT easier.
