Hello all. First, a huge thank you for all the help I’ve received on here over the years. The depth of knowledge is unbelievable.
Anyway, New member, but have owned my 2000 LC since about 2004, but have not had the opportunity to drive it much. I was stationed overseas for the last 16 years (civilian, no longer active duty), and kept it garaged at my parent’s house for use when I would come back about every other year. Now that I am back stateside, it is my daily driver.
Just wanted to introduce myself.

Welcome. That's quite a commitment to a vehicle. Did your parent drive it much? How many miles on it?

welcome! how did it hold up after sitting for so long !? you'll want to baseline the fluids at the very least as soon as possible. Brake fluid and coolant break down over time and need to be refreshed regularly.

It held up very well. I had my dad take it out every great once in a while and run it for a bit. It had less than 170,000 when I picked it up this January. Here’s a testament to the vehicle. The vehicle had been stored at my parents’ house in CA. I had him take it into a mechanic before I got there who changed all fluids and did quite a bit to it (a few thousand dollars) including new springs, plugs, etc. Picked it up from the mechanic, put on some new tires, hooked it up to the boat (19’ Sea Ray BR, 3,000 lbs), and towed the boat with it, 3,000 miles from CA to near Savannah, Ga. Make the trip like a champ. Not a single issue the whole way.
