Hello Everyone. Im a new member but a loooooooooooooong time lurker of this forum. I just got 06 lx470 with 140k miles last week. I have wanted a lx470 ever since it first came out in 1999. So far im loving it. The truck didnt come with the running boards so im gonna search the classifieds of this forum and do some shopping. Quick Question- I know this lx is permanent AWD. I noticed that when you are taking a sharp turn ang go forwards or reverse (like pulling into or pulling out of a parking spot.) i feel some resistance from the brakes abd tires. Like its applying the brakes automatically. I dont know if that it normal. And also the ahc is stuck in N. Im gonna have to search through the forum I will find the answer for that. I just wanted to say hi to everyone. Thanks in advance for all the help im gonna get from here.

Tire resistance - could be a stuck center diff lock. The 100 series has a relatively weak idle roll so sometimes that makes it feel like it's got some resistance, but that applies to a straight line as well so your issue might be a stuck CDL.

AHC - extremely common for that system to be completely neglected. Torsion bars require periodic adjustment. Without said adjustment, it won't go to H over time. Get yourself Techstream (cable on Amazon and software is free from the thread here "Techstream in 5 mins) so you can properly measure and adjust the system.

Enjoy!

I have two sets of running boards for an 06 lx if you're up north
He’s north alright. 01760 zip is Massachusetts. That about as far away from Calgary as you can get.

But y’all should meet up. 🤣😂

My CDL was stuck!!! Thanks@suprarx7nut I guess my differential lock light doesnt work or maybe i need a switch near my transfer case. ( Bek/arnley switch part#201-1788) My CDL engages and disengages but the light doesnt work. I will get that fixed eventually. I have access to a snap on scanner. I scanned it for codes. No codes except for 1 in the suspension module. Its C1776 - front wheel speed sensor. Reset the code and tried ahc and it works. I am gonna do an ahc fluid flush soon. Thanks for all the help.

If you find yourself down in the DC area, I have a set you can have.
