I owned a 2004 LX470 way back in 2004 and forgot that I had created an account on this site around that time. Apparently my username was @silverlx back then so that's what I will go with rather than @kojak.

Pictures of my new 1997 LX450 with 172K miles below. Completely stock, garage kept LA truck that has never been off road or seen snow/salt.

My plans are to get her in tip top mechanical shape, fully restore her interior and then lift/wheels/tires/sliders. Not sure if I will do bumpers, roof rack at the moment. I'm still trying to decide what lift to go with and need to find a reputable shop to do the actual modifications.

I spoke with Murf at Riverview Toyota this week and will be bringing the truck in for his mechanics to do a thorough inspection.

I have something of a history of Toyota trucks. I bought a 2004 LX470 back in 2004 which I sold to a Russian exporter in 2008 and have regretted that sale since. I also currently own a 2008 4Runner V8 Limited 4WD with 159K miles.

Hope to see you guys out on the trails or at one of the monthly meets when they start back up.

Congrats on the new purchase. You didn't wait long to pull the trigger. That is a very nice LX450. Can't wait to see your restoration work on this.

Thanks! This was something of an impulse purchase. I've had a soft spot in my heart for the 80 series because I grew up in Africa where they were the off-roader of choice in my early years. Very happy to add one to my garage.
