Ok, so AFAIK from feedback from 100 series installs, my LED modules will fit perfectly in the 2 dome fixtures in the 100 and also 2 of them will fit in the center maplight.

The front maplight uses 2 x Wedge style bulbs (194 base) and the doors are similar to the 80 and use 1 x Wedge style bulb (194 base) - neither of which I can provide. You can find the 194 wedge style LEDs at superbrightleds.com. Do NOTE that the front maplight requires a relatively short Wedge bulb, so the longer LED modules may not fit - so be warned...

cheers,
george.

Another satisfied customer of George's here.

Excellent quality!

The lights even dim like the stock lights.

I'm Very Happy!

Thanks George,

DEWFPO

You can put me down for one for my HJ60 (24v)

I'm pretty keen to get a couple of these for my 80 but I am just wondering what the advantages of these are over something like a standard festoon LED type unit from somebody like Super Bridge LEDs?

I assume you mean superbrightleds ??

Anyhow, standard festoon LED units just use a bunch of small low power LEDs to try and make a bright light. They are also unregulated.

The units I make are fully regulated and drive the Rebel LED at constant current. This first batch (still some left) use 100lumen/watt LEDs.

I dare you to find a 'standard festoon LED' unit that puts out 100 lumens... engineering lumens - not marketing ones :)

cheers,
george.

It's true, these things are bright. I have 2 dome lights and a map light from the original batch. They work very well and my wife left the map light on in the garage for 36 hrs and it didn't make a dent in the battery.

You'd support creative ingenuity by getting George's LED ;) And besides, his get's the job done, his LED are the brightest I've seen yet. I can see now why some may find them bothersome as a map light - a bit to bright to have shining down on you while you're driving. IMO

The advantage to TaskLEDs is proven, custom light solutions, service, and George's engineering experience. Check out his sight: George's 80 Series Land Cruiser and Nissan MQ Patrol, here you will see a guy who is pioneering solutions and unselfishly gives advice/ ideas. On a recent map light project, George supplied my CC5W driver and all technical support to construct this light; answering all of my questions along the way in a timely manner-he did not have to do this! Thanks for everthing George!

If you have some left I'll take 2.

Definitely worth the price, quality made LED lights are hard to come by. Compare to the price of PIAA, Raybrig, etc and you will find that these made by George are a nice bargain that will last the life of your vehicle.

I just want to post and say thanks for the great service. I installed 2 in my rig a couple of months ago and one of them recently quit working. I sent it back to George, he took care of it very quickly and I got it back in just a couple of days.

These dome lights are awesome and so is the service!

Thanks George!!

I went from two dull yellow lights to bright white stadium lighting.
You will not believe your eyes.

George, do you have any LED dome lights available for a 60?

Thanks for all the positive comments, glad you folk like my LED modules.

Hopefully ledinstall answers some of the install questions. For the 60/62 my LED modules fit straight in for the dome module (center dome), but you need to do some tweaks for the cargo light as seen in 60/62 install section at the above URL.

cheers,
george.

Just a heads up that I'll be in oz (time for that yearly camping trip etc) from May 10 - June 12 so no orders processed or shipped during that time.

So, if you're thinking to buy in the next little while - better contact me soon or wait till I get back.

cheers,
george.

so.... now we can buy new LEDs that are at least 2 times as bright for the same money as the "never to be seen again" LEDs ?

how much brighter are the new style? my gf wants my set for her ford, maybe I can convince her to take my old style and I can get the newer brighter style,,, my interior space is larger than hers so I need more light,,,, right? say it with me,, right!

I still have an old style I never installed if you need one for your museum.
