Hi guyys,

Yesss, my wife and I did it.
Buy a BJ40, and what a fun to drive it.
Body off restauration, including engine etc.


There is also a to do list (update 28/03/2026).
Some main issues:
-Anti reversal shackles in correct position
-Noise killing insulation
-Middle arm rest
-Driver seat lock not working
-Parking heating
-Wipers fast switch not working
-Shackle D-shape + mounting plate - in progress
-Anti start cable harness Cruiser Cult - in progress
-Fuel tank capacity 110L - in progress
-Middle arm rest - in progress
-Not all dashboard lights working - fixed
-Flasher high beam light not working, although continue high beam light ( push hendel backwards) is working - fixed
-Towing hook - fixed
-Running day lights front- fixed
-Backlights not working- fixed
-Ignition lock not always working - fixed
-Wiring and wiring harnas engine bay was not an attention point of PO - fixed
-Window hendle is in my knee, need to give it another position - fixed
-Led lights front - Fixed
-Interior light led - Fixed
-Reverse driving lights beam - fixed
-High beam lights - fixed
-City lights to led - fixed
-Strong claxon - fixed
-Extra back interior light - fixed
-K&N filter - fixed



I guess some help is appreciated in time.

Looks nice. Start reading almost every issue has been posted and solved. You can rebuild switches. Take all electrical connectors apart . Clean both contacts and inspect the wires at the crimp - corrosion can crawl under the insulation.

LoL, if you know all is easy :)
I told my wife, when working on a jaguar xj6-1970, nothing goes fast or easy
getting this crank Handle was the perfect example for me again

from 1977, Serie 4
engine 3.4 with disk brakes front
4 gears
original dutch delivery
with original factory winch

Driver Window crank handle
Led head light

Wow that is a brand new truck!
yep, a lot of work is already done by the PO
Now doing some little improvements to make it an almost daily driver
It's real fun to drive, you go slow(er) in everything
other drivers need to accept it, as it is what it is lol
very nice :)
