Just joined and am hoping that someone has the fix for my issue. 82 FJ40 and the dash lights and tail lights are out. Not a fuse problem and no visible fusable link issue. It seems logical that they are on the same circuit. Has anyone run into this and can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

could be the wire going to the reverse switch on top of transmission shorting out. it rubs around up there and shorts out. that's were mine did when i had the same problem.
Splices?
My guess would be one of these splices came apart or the wire is broken here.
If the lic plate light is working check from the lic plate light to the left tail light with a meter
Or just follow the wire and find the splice or broken wire

Brocken somewere along the frame, i,ve had to unwrap the whole harness before
X2 on broken wire... likely a corroded ground near the back with a truck this old.
