just got my first fj62 monday and i love it!! its got 238k miles but new motor installed 15k ago . it runs perfect and its a southern cruiser. the body is mint. just got a sweet rack in the mail today and looks great. I have new carpet coming and some new tunes too. got a tranny question? I know lc virgin.right? not quite . i had two fj40's 20 years ago. any way back to the tranny. it seems to shift into 2nd way too early and doesnt want to go into 3rd untill 2.5 rpm or about 35mph. maybe its just new to me, been drivin a cherokee for 3 yrs and its a big change. got a few other questions too. cant afford new susp. right now and want to even out the rig. ive got maybe an inch of sag and want to get some shackles. sor has 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 in. shackles. can i put the short ones in front and longs in the back to even it out? what about shims? front only or back too? how many bushings do i need? any help would be great!! also anybody in the michigan area with an fj62? not many of them left up here in the rust belt. thanks alot.
