Alrighty, sooooo we got over that obstacle.. on to the next. I love this design. I mean I really really love this design. I'm almost thinking about discontinuing the other design and building off of this one. I think its better looking and gonna prove to be stronger (bigger). Sadly I just think there's to many variables with the total modular design.. frames could be different which would cause issues. If my frame is off compared to yours there maybe problems lining up the parts and bolts. Granted the holes are over sized slightly for variation but it could happen.

So with that in mind, I think I may take the suggestions of a couple of guys here and offer this bumper in a fully welded version. Meaning all you'd really have to do is unbolt your factory bumper and bolt this one on .. done. What do you guys think? I know there has been much talk and I've received many PM's about just that... so I ask you my loyal friends. Pro's and con's? Should I or shouldn't I?

You should.

Pros: simplify fabrication (reduce your run rate), easier to build more strength into the design, remove frame differences from the equation (you will know the frame is off if the single peice doesnt fit...the modular could appear to be a bumper difference, nor a frame difference).

Cons: Shipping will be more expensive as it will lily need to go freight.

As a current customer and potential repeat customer, I vote yes...offer a single piece expo bumper.

Got the bolts yesterday while I was out at the powder coat'r. Stopped at the steel shop and was looking at pieces for the cargo carry rails. I was thinking aluminum flat stock to go under the rails you bought... The pan head bolts fit perfect too. Glad you bought stainless. I'll post pics in the roof rack thread. I still need light mounts and for you to figure out what size light bar. PM info. Thanks.

Modular is very cool but like others have said single piece for expo style might better due to the complexity of the bullbar.
I agree. You cool with a 1 piece bumper? Shipping might change slightly. Let me know.

I like the top (hoops) of the expo bumper and the bottom part (front plate and low profile wings) of the rock crawler one. Could the two be hybridized?

I'll make you what ever you want my dude. PM me if you wanna talk further. I'm close to caught up so I'll be excepting new orders. Been busting my butt and practically sleeping in the shop.. no joke.

With all the iterations, might be nice to snap a quick photo of each "new" design that gets shipped out.

I don't see 1 piece as a problem and the simplified build, lack of expensive mounting hardware and labor saved from making it modular should easily offset the additional shipping cost. If the shipping is dramatically higher then let me know much and we can work it out.

Copy that.

Ditto that here.

I live in Japan... want to order a bumper... but a one piece unit is totally out of the question unless I order 10 and have them container shipped. I like your modular design for shipping purposes and frankly some of your earlier argument of ... crash test it against the factory bumper and see which does better... my calibrated eyeball and butt dyno are guessing your bumper even in the modular design would win hands down.

just my 4 Yen worth...

Keep up the good work!

Dan

Dan we ca work something out bud if your serious about buying one. I'm not gonna completely abandon the modular aspect of my bumper systems. Just gonna offer it in a fully welded config as well.

Making a fixture to build these bumpers off of since it getting cold outside and I'm tired of building them on my truck. Will have some "real" pics later in the day. Hang in my peeps...

Great work and great concept - Would it be possible along with the pictures include the pricing? I presently have an ARB but am considering one of yours.
