New Electrical Gremlin (1 Viewer)

Yesterday, as I pulled up to the house, I noticed my Reverse light came on while I was still in Drive. Checked it a couple of times and it went out. Hmmm.

This morning, it happened again, but didn't go out.

Time to start testing.

In Neutral:

In 2nd:

In L:

It moved the directions I expected it move, meaning there's a switch issue. It was still dark outside, so I headed off to the office.

Every time I press the brake pedal, guess what lights up?

Yep, the Reverse light (of course my D is out)

So, now I get to start chasing gremlins.

I'm guessing it's in the transmission safety switch?

Any thoughts?

This probably wont solve your problem but it may provide some insight. May be more than just a switch issue....

Weirdest thing happened to me yesterday.

So, driving out of my neighborhood I realize that my transmission is not shifting and holding revs really high at 30mph. I look down and see the R indicated on my dash indicator. Freaking out I shift to neutral and then back into drive....Reverse stays indicated but it will illuminate all the others (while the R is lit). I look at my mirrors and see that they are pointed down like I am in reverse AND the reverse lights are on. I try to drive it out and finally the R goes off and it drives and shifts fine. Get to a store and start her up again...it...
