Weirdest thing happened to me yesterday.

So, driving out of my neighborhood I realize that my transmission is not shifting and holding revs really high at 30mph. I look down and see the R indicated on my dash indicator. Freaking out I shift to neutral and then back into drive....Reverse stays indicated but it will illuminate all the others (while the R is lit). I look at my mirrors and see that they are pointed down like I am in reverse AND the reverse lights are on. I try to drive it out and finally the R goes off and it drives and shifts fine. Get to a store and start her up again...it does it again. Drive 30mph the whole way home and let the truck sit for the night and drive our 80 series. Went to go drive it this morning and it drives out fine...until i put it in reverse. Does the same thing. Now when I start it, its doing the same crap.

So, deduction lead me to the ECU pin outs. Figure if I clip the feed wire for the Reverse signal to the ECU itll quit doing it until I can get a switch or something figured out. If its still doing it, well...its ECM is bad. So, questions.

Where does the 2000 year 100 series (LX470) get its reverse signal from (shifter or transmission)?

Which wire FOR SURE is the signal into the ECM?

Has anyone had this problem before and found a solution?

Thanks guys!
