Hi All
First of all, my condolences to Kevin and Family and Friends, never met him but knew his posts were the best you could tell he had a big heart by the way he explained everything. It’s kind of daunting being announced into the club on the day Tools passes, hope it’s not a bad omen.

I’ve been following Mud and CSC for a while, had a 60 a few years back I sold it to Murf. And I met a few of you in my 60 on a run to Martinez canyon in 2012 which I understand is closed now. I also owned a pristine 40k mile beige/silver 80 back in 1998 when I lived in Elko Nevada, wish I’d kept that one. Sold it for an ’03 Subaru which was totaled by a moose in Cody WY (still have a Subie, my 4th one – a ’09 XT turbo outback with a 5 spd – not many of them around, same motor as a STI).

So fast forward 21 years from my first 80 - I spent about a year looking for a built 80 and found Ken in AZ’s ‘93 and bought the day he posted it. Almost bought a.mus.ed’s ’95 here in Tucson but was outbid by Bill (it was the wrong color and sun blasted anyways).

Ken’s 93 is a really nice truck, and the two tone paint! – it’s turnkey not much needed for the way I’d like to have it even if it won’t fit in my garage with 37’s and the rack. Ken’s a great guy and really fixed it up nicely.

Looking forward to meeting up with your guys again and more so to meeting guys in Tucson for weekend runs around the area – I’ll try and make the Wednesday Tucson meet up at Sentinel Peak -it’s close to my office. A few photos for interest. I run into a lot of oversea’s land cruisers and hiluxs on my world wide work trips so I’ll post a few photos from time to time. Cheers!

Welcome aboard! Very cool stories and photos of your rigs; that 1996 80 series is beautiful (*but I'm biased, as my 96 is the same paint code).
