David,
not to hijack this thread but your undercarriage is very clean. I think you and I park our rigs in the same garage. Did you treat it with anything? Or is just that clean?

I took some daytime pictures as requested. This is the new ARB bull bar on a stock FJ60 (old springs with 31" x 10.50" BFG AT).

Dude! Thanks for posting those. I was really torn on which rig I should ARB when I started. I went for my '85 so I could bolt on an H55. Looks great!

Thanks! It's a one previous owner from Asheville. I have tried to keep it clean, even after wheeling at Cullowhee. I park in the federal lot downtown . . . .

Really do like the new ARB bumper . . . coming off the hill at Sugar Gap at Cullowhee.

I reveive my ARB this weekend, but to busy with the spring over to look at it much. I hope to install it shortly. I looks good to me (time will tell) have seen seveal of the new style out there in print and really liked the look. I'll post some pic's when we get it done and compare this style to my buddies Safari bull bar.

Fourrunner and myself are going to fab up a few new rear bumper for 60's
we are going to try to build an affortable rear bumper. I'll try to get a pic posted of unit 1 on Fourrunners 60:hhmm:

So in this pic, is it my questionable mindset, or are the side runners not running parallel with the fenders anymore?
This is the new bumper, yes? Did you already have the runners? If they [runners] are not running even [they appear to be diving down] is it due to the new bumper not having as much vertical run out there?
KILLER looking 60!! I am going to be painting mine red also.
One last thing, during installation, what setting did you use in the height adjustments.
Thanks

Side bars: ARB does have a new version of the sidebars out, they are currently backordered here in the US, but in the future they will stock them regularly... They have now discontinued the side bars for the older bumper. My 2 cents :D

PS... Good looking rigs

Hi guys,

I just installed my new ARB bull bar. I am impressed with ARB's attention to detail. And the guys at ARB in Seattle were a great help.

A few questions.\:

1) For any of you who have the new design, what height did you set it at? The standard lift is the highest setting but seems to cut off the bottom of the head lights. I have a 2" OME Dakar lift but am thinking on setting at the 1" lift to account for sag from the weight of a winch.

2) As ARB has really paid attention to detail with this bumper and they have made it to fit several Warn model winches, DO YOU STILL NEED THE WARN MOUNTS?

Thanks guys and happy motoring.

i dont think the ARB front bar really looks right on the 62, it doesnt fit it well at all, which is why im building my own, gonna have a thread once i start it up
