!!!! Why do think mine sitting there in stock form! I figure I will try the bend and tuck, if I break it then I may as well do the 91-92 inside the engine bay move.
Hi retrofive,
I pushed my Dryer up just shy of 2 Inches. I pushed on the bottom of the dryer as I pushed up on the line that goes over the trams lines wirh a 3/4 dowel at the same time about 5 inches away from the dryer. I did the same thing to the line going towards the battery compartment but pushed closer to the dryer (Much less room). Spreading the preasure over more of the line I did this about 8 times going back and forth between the two and I had no kinking. Just move slowly on each one..
I also mounted fog lights In front of the dryer that hides the bottom 2 inches of the dryer which I sanded and painted black. If you wheel much that idea Ism"t the best. You can cut the dryer bracket and reweld to the new Dim. :) Your Bumper Looks Great Good Luck..!

Do you think they could do a finished rear bumper with just a spindle in place instead of the entire swing out? It would give me the option of making a swing out later. Or maybe the bumper complete but swing out as a kit to save on cost?

Edit: Even better would be just to have the holes in the shell. I could find some nice plugs of some type to fill the holes. But later if i want the swing outs i could get the spindles and kits.

I would email Luke with your questions that way you know for sure. I emailed him what I wanted and got an estimate. Then gave him a deposit to get the ball rolling.

One thing to consider if you go this route is that you'll lose the ability to mount the spare tire underneath with the bumper installation, so without the swing arm, you'd need to have a backup plan for the spare.

That's all I did. One day I will fill those holes with some spindles and swingout.

i bought a front bumper kit about a month ago, love the design but the parts did not fit together well at all. the support tubes for the front main hoop were 3/4" different from each other, one had a saw mark halfway thru the tube about an inch from the end, the winch plate notches were not the same angle from one side to the next... it took a lot of work to make it fit together correctly. be prepared if you just buy the kit is all I'm saying.

I bought a FB kit. Reading past post/threads, and I think I read somewhere on his site. That's the general consensus when ordering a "kit" you have to finish it your self.

i realize it is a kit, i just expected the main components to at least be cut at the same angle and the pieces to be the same length. I'm just saying expect a lot of work, its not just putting the pieces together, its cutting and notching and filling in holes.

I've got a few Destaco 2K lb. locking clamps for sale in the classifieds for y'all fabbing up your own swing-outs.

Sounds like you make have gotten the "wrong kit"

Not sure everyone realizes that Luke has multipul bumper kits to fit various winches... Meaning he has different center sections (winch pockets) that are drilled for the various winch set ups.

This could be why your holes didn't line up or seemed "off".

Example my Warn Powerplant has the drum offset to the driver side. Luke offers an offset winch pocket where the flairlead is set more to the driver side to align with that winch design. I opted for the centered version knowing I was running less rope and it would spoil up more on one side.

Perhaps that's what you got?

Correct and possible. I know when I ordered mine he specifically ask which winch I would be using, model and all.

Can you guys point me to some pics of the rear bumpers? I was 8 pages into the thread with no rear bumper pics.
Thanks.
