Never Wet Junk

So I decided to go and spray the Never Wet kit (Rustoleum) on my sliders, lower doors, and some rear bumper. Stuff works good BUT looks like garbage. Says on the can dries hazzy BUT NOT BLUE!! So now I have blue armor. I will most likely strip it with some mineral spirits. Live and learn I guess. I was going to do a test spot but I talked myself out of it. Never second guess yourself.

Just giving a heads up to whoever is thinking about the same application. Worked good on my boots since I don;t care the color is messed up.

I've never had good luck with rustoleum products except "hammered" on my patio furniture. Pretty much anything that needs painting gets duplicolor these days. Of course, most of the paint has been scraped off my old sliders and I'm too lazy to touch up, so they have a black and rust theme going now

I coated all my wheel wells in never wet. Seemed to make cleanup easier

I would say it depends on color. On black its blue.

Roustoleum NeverWet is cheap knock off of this product Ultra Ever Dry.
Ill add its a authorized dealer item, about $150 for the quarts of both parts.
I have seen it in action, my buddy races snowmobiles and uses it to eliminate ice build up in the rear skid and tunnel.
Due to the price, its not really a fair comparison but it works well!

It did what I wanted it to, but yeah, its blue.

Its a great idea, but it isn't durable enough.
I had water bubbles in it after a hard rain and there were a couple guys on the trip that got a little too handsy with it, so some of the water/mud stuck in the areas where they fingered it like a prom date.

Still a cool product. It would be a nice rust protectant/undercoating if it lasted a little longer.

Pressure washer won't do squat. I tried. Mineral Spirits work great. There is a lot of wiping to get all it off. I waxed the hood with a cleaning wax afterwards to get the last of the residue off...
