My new netgear router wgr614v7 spits out garble on this site. It has been mentioned here before, but I can't find a solution, anyone know of one besides flicking the new router?

Haven't seen any solutions posted...

i have never used routers this small, or this brand.

my knee jerk reaction would be to say check your firm ware version.

if it has one of those little reset buttons hold it in while you power it off and back on, let it boot up while you hold the reset.

if it doesn't have the little reset button just hold the power button down and unplug the power, replug the power while holding the power button.

one of those options should reset the flash.

I find it strange that it only affects this site, never once have I had a problem at any other site or message board.

My netgear does the same thing at home. It cripples my MUD experience.

Will be buying a new router soon. I have delt with this issue for 8mths. Think how I feel.

No question its a netgear problem. I just replaced mine about a hour ago because of the same problem. I never did try netgears tech support......

Ok this is what I did. I have a wgr614v6 or version 6. I checked my firmware of the router. I had one of the newest versions So I downloaded the original version it shipped with since it worked originally. Then went and deleted all my cookies and temp internet files.

Works good for now.

I tried all the different firmware versions (2 available), it happens on both of them.
