Probably 2 hours for the cabin air intake and 1 for the engine air intake. Took some time making templates for both. I’d say a double banana job just because of the cowl removal.

Just had my first go at this after 7 years of ownership. Got in truck for first time in 2 weeks after camping trip and wife about died as there was a dead baby mouse wedged in the passenger door jamb. Nest discovered in cabin air filter. Truck stinks to bloody hell. Currently exploding an auto odor eliminating fogger in truck. Headed out in the morning for a quick weekend trip no time to make the inlet screen yet.
Does the cowl covering the air inlet just pop off? Any tricks required to get it off without breaking any tabs or anything?

How’s it going LV?There are definitely tabs on the firewall that are easy to break. I can’t remember exactly who but maybe @lx200inAR had posted pics?

You probably already got this worked out, but it’s pretty easy. Pull the windshield wiper arms, then if you have them the two plastic trim pieces along the fenders, by sliding them towards the front. They are held on by 3 clips each (this is on a LX, not 100% sure LCs have them.). This uncovers 2 Phillips head center pop clips (one on each side). Remove those and disconnect the washer fluid line on drivers side. Then the whole thing slides off the windshield towards the front. It can take a pretty good tug. Getting it back on is the part where you want to be mindful of breaking clips. Also make sure you get a good seal on the passenger side on reinstall. Easy to create a water ingress point into the hvac inlet assuming the Cowl cover design hasnt been improved from older models.
