I picked up my 1984 BJ42 a couple of months ago and have been plugging away at a number of things. Funny how that "can of worms" quote seems poignant right about now ; ) She is coming along well. I purchased some Good Year Wrangler 31 -10.5- 15's. The previous owner had some old Toccoma wheels put on. Was thinking to clean them up and see how they look or maybe powder coat them a gun metal grey sort of color. They don't look bad however he also did give me the original white spokes that I can clean up.

Option C is to source out some steelies which I like the look... were they offered on '84's What to do what to do.... :meh:

Opinions?

I have seen some nice Blue ones with the whites and they do look clean... is that yours? Nice job!

Didn't that year come with the FJ60 looking wheels? I am going with a 35x10.5x15 tire on my FJ45 so I will be taking FJ60 wheels and painting them the off white color.

Those Tacoma wheel just don't seem to match the feel of your rig.

I'd go white spokers with that clean blue body.

I think Leeping Deer is correct about the FJ60 rims in white. Thats way I want to go. But get what you want.

Thanks everyone.... the vote seems to be for the original white spoked wheels and I will paint them the original off white. Appreciate the input!

I may be a little late, but the white looks much better.

Spokes all the way
